Reflective Journal - Week 14
1. Write a letter to your younger self who is starting their first day of nursing school, motivate them, give them advice (What you know now) and anything else you want to add...
Dear Savannah,
Congratulations on all your hard work and getting into nursing school at UVU! This is the beginning of something that will be so hard, but SO worth it. First, I want to calm your fears. You will graduate! You will get a job that is perfect for you and for the time of your life that you got it! I know you are scared and worried about how you will complete nursing school, since you just found out that you are pregnant with your first baby, but guess what, you are going to be just fine and you will love all the moments of the hard, because you will be creating your family and preparing yourself to provide for it! You will have another baby too in nursing school, and you will still survive!
Just do your very best, and it will be more than enough. Don't stress too much, but just stress enough to get the work done. I know simulation was the scariest thing for you, but just have fun with it. It doesn't matter what other people think! Who cares! Laugh and learn from your mistakes. Don't let homework get in the way of your relationships with your husband and your babies.
Don't worry about where you get placed for your capstone. It doesn't make much of a difference. God has a plan, and whatever happens happens. You end up somewhere you love! Hopefully knowing that there is light at the end of the tunnel and a great career and life ahead will give you more comfort and motivation to get the work done! You got this!
Take care :)
Future Savannah
